How To Play Backyard Skittles

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

  • 12 Pins numbered 1-12
  • Throwing Baton

SETUP

  • Arrange the pins in the formation shown, approximately 5cm apart.
  • For the first game, throw order is random.
  • In following games, order is based on previous results — lowest to highest.
  • Draw a throw line approximately 3–4 metres from the pin formation.

BEGINNING THE GAME

  • Players take turns underarm throwing the baton at the pins.
  • Pins leaning on others or the baton don’t count as fallen.
  • Fallen pins are stood upright where they land.

SCORING

  • Knock over multiple pins: score equals the number of pins knocked down.
  • Knock over a single pin: score equals the number printed on the pin.

ENDING THE GAME

  • Three scoreless turns in a row = elimination.
  • First to reach exactly 50 points wins.
  • If you go over 50, your score drops back to 25.
